 Curbside Recycling

In October of 2006, the Village of Lake Isabella began a bi-weekly curbside recycling program with the Isabella County Recycling Center. The Village's participation in this program was done in an effort to save our residents money in handling their solid waste needs.  For questions regarding curbside service please contact the Isabella County Recycling Center at 989-773-9631.

Not only is this program beneficial to the residents of the Village, but it also helps promote a cleaner community that we all can enjoy.  For this service, each household is charged $15 a year.  That equals $1.25 a month, or a mere 4 cents a day.

For details on the specific items that can be recycled in this program, and how to prepare them for collection, please view our on-line recycling guides.  Beginning in 2020, the Village and Isabella County have made a roll-off collection bin available at our DPW property, 201 S. Coldwater Road, for you to drop-off materials any day of the week.

Please have your recycling container at the roadside by 7 AM.

Brush

The Village's DPW property (201 S. Coldwater Road) accepts brush from residents at no cost.  Bagged yard waste is accepted as space allows.  Yard waste must be in paper bags, plastic is not accepted.  Grass clippings are also not accepted.  The DPW gate is currently left open, and the property is monitored by video surveillance.  The graphic below illustrates the policies currently in place for the facility.
